DETERRENCE FOR PEACE AND PROSPERITY

We educate, train and support communities locally and globally

Deterrence Center is dedicated to advancing security via creating solutions that deter threats and address the modern world's complex challenges.

Deterrence is the capability of applying preventative measures, that are specially designed, to prevent adversarial escalation of any nature, which may be to the detriment of peace.

We curate ecosystems that maximise strengths, outreach and resources, and lay grounds for more effective and efficient delivery of deterrence strategies and tactics.

We believe that well educated and empowered communities are an important part of the security ecosystem and are a remarkable deterrent.

TO BUILD SAFE AND PROSPEROUS COMMUNITIES

Local communities often provide a sense of safety and security for many people, therefore the ability to be both resilient and agile is crucial.

Deterrence can be used to tackle threats to public safety and security on a local, regional, national and global level.

Modern, complex, and ever-evolving threats are utilising a growing number of modern culture, technologies, freedoms and generally taking advantage of globalisation.

Deterrence Center considers solutions to tackle threats such as organised crime, radicalisation, extremism and terrorism, before they evolve. We would like to involve local communities in this process.

We provide information and insight into on on how the moving parts within the security sector fit together, and how communities can reach out to agencies and organisations, become familiar with the multi-agency working in the security sector, and to empower communities to be helpful in deterring threats of the modern world.

TO EDUCATE

We aim to educate communities about crime and (in)security by delivering interesting and innovative talks, lectures, special events and short courses, so that people within our communities can be informed and build transferrable skills not only to understand these issues in depth, but also to contribute towards building safer and more prosperous communities.

We merge the quality of academia, dynamic nature of the multi-agency security sector and every-day human interaction and kindness to educate and build confidence in our communities worldwide.

TO INSPIRE

We also aim to spark interest in topics related to security, crime and deterrence, and provide more than just  interesting real-life scenarios and explanations, but also teach how communities can contribute to the prevention of these issues.

By delivering education and training, we would like to inspire people of all ages to become familiar with topics related to modern crime, criminal justice, criminology, security, psychology and sociology. We encourage discussions in formal and informal environments that are based on respect, ingenuity and an appetite for knowledge and understanding.

We curate ecosystems that maximise strengths, outreach and resources, and lay grounds for more effective and efficient delivery of deterrence strategies.
